High Intensity Focused Ultrasound (or HIFU) is a non-surgical ultrasound lifting system for treating lax areas of the face, neck and body without any superficial damage or downtime.
Treatment can be used to:
Lift and tighten lax areas on face and body
Reduce fine lines and wrinkles around the eyes or forehead
Reduce size and tighten skin after weight loss or post baby tummies
Lift, tighten and rejuvenate sagging skin on arms, breasts or inner thighs
HIFU energy is delivered into the dermis, deep dermis, subcutaneous fibrous tissue/hypodermis, fascia and superficial muscular aponeurotic system (SMAS). As tissue temperature rises with the absorption of energy and vibration of cells, focal thermal coagulation points (TCP’s) are formed. These points stimulate the production of new collagen and elastin, and promote skin rejuvenation.
A variety of cartridges are used during treatment to specifically target HIFU focal points located at 1.5mm, 3.0mm, 4.5mm and 8-13mm below the surface of the skin, with surrounding tissues remaining unaffected.
As decreased amounts of collagen and elastin can cause fine lines, wrinkles and saggy skin. HIFU technology is able to generate wrinkle improvement, reduce fine lines and tighten sagging skin areas, by stimulating the body to create collagen and elastin.
Treatment in the collagen-rich focal point layer at 1.5mm creates superficial dermal neocollagenesis leading to a reduction in wrinkles. Simply put, it increases collagen production, at these shallow areas of the face.
Treatment in the deep dermis at the 3.0mm focal point, produces TCPs, promoting collagen regeneration and facial lifting.
Treatment in the focal point at 4.5mm enables non-surgical face lifting and tightening, as this layer is composed of collagen and elastin fibres playing a role in muscle contraction to the skin’s surface.
For optimal results, you should be using a routine skincare regime prior to your treatment. If you aren’t using one, please make an appointment with your nurse or dermal therapist so they can put you on a “quick response” pretreatment – every skin is different and individual treatment protocols are used to match your best possible outcome.
Post treatment care is always suggested by your dermal therapist to suit your response and to make sure you get the longest results from your treatment
We use the latest in HIFU technology, with UTIMS being the safest, non-invasive system for face and body lifting and tightening. With high accuracy technology, stable and narrow transducers for usability, this device provides:
Stable focal points with maximised treatment outcomes
Safe and consistent heat patterns
Less adverse effects
Powerful treatments without compromising safety
High energy delivery
Delicate heat lesions
Effective treatments
UTIMS carries the Transducer Heat Lesion Valuation System (THLVS Phantom), an energy effect measurement test to safely regulate the HIFU energy while ensuring the safe and correct energy levels are applied to skin tissue.

Non – Invasive RF uses low level radio waves to deliver thermal energy to the dermal layer of the skin. RF generates heat which induces controlled thermal tissue damage and subsequently tissue remodelling and skin tightening by stimulating collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid formation.
Invasive RF uses a combination of RF and micro-needling to induce a powerful natural healing response to stimulate cell regeneration, collagen production and skin tightening.
Microdermabrasion with CEYA radio-frequency (face, neck and décolletage) treats dull, thickened, congested, blemished, ageing and acne scarred skin, open pores and active acne on the face or body without the use of drugs. The microdermabrasion achieves a glowing look, while carrying out a wide range of applications safely and effectively.
Our fillers contain a combination of hyaluronic acid and glycerol, which are essential for skin hydration and toning while keeping collagen fibres elastic. Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance in the human body, heavily involved in maintaining water balance. Due to ageing, natural levels decrease; fillers can effectively replenish the loss of hyaluronic acid, ultimately improving skin hydration.
Prior to the procedure, one of our trained nurses will walk you through a thorough skin consultation and inform you of the best way to go about reaching your skin needs and goals.
When it is time to administer the filler, your nurse will clean the treatment area, then inject the skin with a small amount of the appropriate filler through a fine needle or blunt micro-cannula. The treatment can sometimes involve a mixture of fillers, volume or botulinum.
The initial consultation can take up to 30 minutes. The actual treatment itself can take anywhere between 15 to 45 minutes depending on the area and indication.
A touch-up treatment is sometimes performed around 2 weeks after the initial treatment to receive optimal results.
